Zenflaux A SambaZen game
An autumn pond at midday: maple trees in gold, a small pavilion, stepping stones and a stone well on a mossy bank, leaves drifting down onto blue water

A place to return to

Stay a little.
See a little more.

Zenflaux is a quiet attention game beside a Japanese-inspired autumn pond. Choose the water, the koi or the maple, and notice what unfolds while you stay with it.

Before you go any further

Touch the water.

The pond begins the same way. Tap anywhere and watch the rings travel. Nothing is keeping count.

Tap the water. Make a ripple wherever you touch.

Three small moments

Choose what to stay with.

Each visit follows one thing closely. A guided visit runs for around eight minutes; you can leave early, switch, or linger longer.

Rain rings spreading across the reflections of the maple trees on the pond

Water

A drop, and circles spreading across the reflection. Light shifts on the surface as the afternoon moves.

White, orange and gold koi gliding beneath the pond surface between dark stones

Koi

They come closer if you let them. Follow one fish, lose it, begin again with any other.

A red maple leaf resting on the water, rings spreading out around it while a koi passes below

Maple

Watch one leaf all the way down. It reaches the water; little rings spread out.

Company, if you want it

A keeper walks the bank with you.

Pick a moss dragon, a moon fox or a forest spirit. Your keeper offers a short observation now and then and leaves room for quiet between them.

Prefer silence? Enter quietly. Sound and speech are optional; the pond also speaks in visual cues and text.

  • Moss dragon
  • Moon fox
  • Forest spirit

A pond that remembers

Come back whenever. It will still be there.

A golden leaf each day

Each day you spend at the pond becomes a golden leaf, a journal page of the moments you chose. Leaves you haven't collected wait for you.

A well for setting things down

Pick a few words for what's on your mind, let the scroll sink into the stone well and watch the water take it. Or walk past it. It never opens on its own.

Relics that change by the month

Time at the pond slowly shapes a small carved relic. At the month's end it joins your collection, and you can send a postcard of it.

A keeper who learns, only if you ask

Let the keeper learn which moments you choose, on your device. Remembering is off by default and can be reset without touching your garden.

The reflection well dialog: 'What are you bringing today?', with small choices such as Too much to do, Restless and Hopeful
